Most Sung in 2013

Looking back on the year of worship, what were the songs most sung? I looked over the list, and here are the winners!

In the Contemporary Service: JESUS PAID IT ALL (9 times), 10,000 REASONS (7), COUNTING ON YOUR NAME, DOXOLOGY, OUR GOD, REVELATION SONG, STRONGER (5), AWESOME IS THE LORD MOST HIGH, BE LIFTED UP, HERE I AM TO WORSHIP, HOSANNA, HUMBLE KING, JESUS YOU ARE WORTHY, LORD MOST HIGH, MORE THAN ENOUGH, NO ONE IS LIKE YOU, OUR GOD SAVES, THE SAME LOVE, UNCHANGING, YOU ARE MY KING (4).

In the Traditional Service: JESUS PAID IT ALL (8), DOXOLOGY (7), TO GOD BE THE GLORY (5), GRACE GREATER THAN OUR SIN, WONDERFUL GRACE OF JESUS (4), ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS’ NAME, AMAZING GRACE, BLESSED ASSURANCE, BLESSED BE THE NAME, HOW FIRM A FOUNDATION, LIVING FOR JESUS, MY FAITH HAS FOUND, MY SAVIOR’S LOVE, OUR GREAT SAVIOR, PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM!, THE CHURCH’S ONE FOUNDATION (3).

Would you have guessed those? Some songs you might think we sing all the time were only done once or twice, or maybe not at all in 2013.

If you had asked me to name my most favorite and or most meaningful songs to me right now, my list would have included 6 of the top 7. So no surprise there.
However, I am surprised that even the top song was sung so few times. In 52 Sundays that’s not a lot of repeats.

Yeah not a lot of repeats is an affirming sign to me that we’ve mixed it up over the year! Always striving for that. I’m always surprised when I look over the list, like ‘how did we only sing that one once?!’.
